Kanban for Shopify orders: from a new order to a supplier request on one board

An app inside the Shopify admin: every order is a card with products, photos and amounts. The team moves cards between its own columns, and fulfilment requests go to suppliers grouped by location.

Screens of the product

The board: orders as cards in your own columns, with products, photos and buttons to move a card
Card editor: order fields arranged in rows, with a live preview
Products block: SKU, variant, location, size and colour from metafields
Quick actions: call, email, chat, tag, document, calendar and moving to a column
Request groups: fulfilment orders for one location are sent to the supplier together
Fulfilment portal: requests by date and supplier, quantities, payment status and totals

The problem

In the standard Shopify order list it is hard to see at a glance which orders are new, which are bulk or VIP, and which are already waiting for a supplier. Fulfilment requests were sent one order at a time, and the supplier had no clear view of what to ship.

What we did
  1. 01A board with your own columns (New Orders, Bulk Orders, VIP Customers, High Value…); new orders land in the system column automatically
  2. 02Each card shows number, fulfilment status, date, total and products with photo, quantity and price; a note can be added right on the card
  3. 03Card editor: drag fields into rows, choose what stays visible when collapsed, 5 layouts (Pipe, Dot, Chips, Stacked, Mini) and fields per row
  4. 04Products block built from any product fields: SKU, variant, location and metafields such as size and colour
  5. 05Quick actions on a card: open in admin, order link, call, email, chat, tag, document, check, calendar, move to column
  6. 06A column with auto-fulfil, search, filters, undo/redo and a compact view for busy days
  7. 07Request groups: fulfilment orders are grouped by location, rules decide when a group may be sent, one button sends the request
  8. 08Fulfilment portal for the owner and suppliers: requests by date and supplier, ordered and remaining quantities, paid status and totals

Locations, request groups with sending rules and the fulfilment portal.

Result
  • Every order's stage is visible on one screen, without opening it
  • Each team member sets up the card for their own job — warehouse, sales or owner
